Why No-Rub Peeling

Air-jet peeling instead of rotating brushes

Traditional peeling relies on rotating brushes that physically rub the testa off — and rub kernels into pieces along with it. LOCUS peeling machines use compressed-air nozzles inside a 4-chamber cylindrical drum, so kernels are never mechanically scraped.

A 4-chamber SS304 drum built around compressed air instead of moving brush parts, sized per line from a single unit up to a multi-unit bank.

Air-jet peeling drum

A 4-chamber SS304 cylindrical drum with air nozzles peels testa off kernels using compressed air — never rotating brushes.

PLC control, 1 HP per unit

Each peeling unit runs on a 1 HP motor plus compressor air supply, with PLC control over air pulse timing per chamber.

SS304 construction
